En el Excélsior leí sobre un estudio realizado en Australia por la Universidad de Melbourne, el cual afirma que los empleados que visitan páginas que no se relacionan con sus actividades laborales pueden aumentar su productividad un 9 %

"La navegación ociosa por internet en el lugar de trabajo ayuda a ajustar la concentración de los trabajadores. Descansos breves y no intrusivos, permite descansar la mente, llevando a una concentración total neta más alta para un día de trabajo y, como resultado, un aumento de la productividad" afirmó el encargado de esta investigación.

Gasto inútil son entonces los softwares utilizados por las empresas para impedir que sus empleados visiten, sobre todo, los sites de redes sociales y video como YouTube.
